Is Trump to blame for the shooting of the congressman and others ?

Republican Rep. Mark Sanford (S.C.) suggested Thursday on MSNBC's Morning Joe that President Trump may be "partially" to blame for the anger and political hostility that led alleged shooter James Hodgkinson to gun down a congressional baseball practice Wednesday morning. "I would argue the president has unleashed, partially — again not in anyway totally — but partially to blame for demons that have been unleashed," Sanford said.

I think that there is some truth in this in the sense that nobody can deny Trump has increased political tensions. This is dodgy territory to talk about though.

Imagine a right wing nut job doing the same thing and a Republican blaming it on Obama.

Please Trump could take a shit and Morning Joe and his sheep would make it somehow controversial.

No people are mainly responsible for their own actions. If Morning Joe wants to make this about politics I could also argue the left has been fear mongering since even before Trump was elected.

They said:

"Thousands are going to die"
"the Russians are going to take over"
"Trump is Hitler and now protesters are getting gunned down in the streets (ooh wait that never happened) but Trump is obviously Hitler anyways because he's white... and our society today totally mirrors that of Nazi Germany."

(TEACHER I can't do homework today because I am so stressed over Trump.. he's too blame for everything in my life... oh what's that? I don't have to take that test because I can't handle life? Oh thank you so much!)

"It will be WW3"

"Trump got a call from the democratically elected FEMALE president of Taiwan" ----> IMPEACH HIM! WHAT MADNESS IS NEXT!?!

WE ARE ALL GOING TO FUCKINGGGG DIEEEEEE!!! The ground will shake and everything.

@CopperCicada: I don't get why you repeated my comment back to me. There's no dialogue to be had here.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@CopperCicada: Ah.. I think I may get what you were saying. I wasn't saying "sure you do" to be sarcastic or mean anything other than "yes I'm sure you do know some people."

I wasn't denying what you said but I wanted to input that I also know a few who have said that and both the hysterics of the media also their followers prove otherwise. The fear mongering protests.. the news sources.. the hysterics. They've all been there since day one.

fuck no.. people are responsible for their own actions.. you do by your own will. all the stupid bullshit the democrates are doing just because they arent in power is crazy. just shows how looney tunes they really are then trying to pass their actions off to another person just because they dont want to take responsibility for themselves.

@Niburu: lol she blocked me because i didnt share her delusion.
@Niburu: No, I acknowledge that it has happened. I also advised you, since you mentioned an incident I know about in Berkeley, that other elements besides protestors sometimes get involved. And having been to peaceful protests, that they occur is not an opinion. I posted a story, with photos, of one rally. But when you accuse me personally of hatred and "vitriol", I am asking you where ?

@MasterLee: It was a Republican who said it.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@pezzza: so you believe it because a republican said it?
Hatred begets hatred, unfortunately. Trump ran a campaign and won based upon divisiveness, racism and hatred. It's very difficult not to see what happened as those chickens coming home to roost. While nothing justifies the violence I can understand the despair behind it.

We have to make everything the other guy's fault?
I don't like Trump everyone here knows that or does now...but no it is not his fault...it is the person who pulled the trigger... his fault entirely...the attitudes of us against them do not help with these types of tragedies... but instead cause a greater divide to be made between all of us as American People ...
Sad...very sad indeed

I saw a clip of that and I think it was a fair and accurate statement. We can never forget that the U.S. is not a particularly bright country. Emotion and perception frequently takes precedent over truth and reason. Trump has played the Divide and Conquer strategy from Day One and he continues to do it. And there's countless websites that appeal to that very strategy, irrespective of political ideology. Not too hard to fire up an already unstable person. Leadership needs to come from the top. Trump gave a really good speech yesterday about the shooting. FIRST time I ever felt he was speaking to ALL the citizens.
But then he blew it out of the water today on Twitter. So I see things as getting worse before they get better. I also see that as part of a strategy.

This has to be the most idiotic post ever made on here, good gosh you are very scary. Try looking in the mirror one day, you might be able to think for yourself one day...
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@therighttothink50: It was a quote actually. Maybe you could think for yourself and try answering it.

That's horrible and unjust, to say the least. This isn't political hostility, this is someone who's unhinged and demented, you can't blame the President for that.
firefall · 61-69, M
@pezzza: Do you think so? It seems more likely to drive up the temperature, to me
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@firefall: You're probably right , this show of solidarity won't last. We're beyond reasoning now ..... and for that I believe Trump is partially to blame.
firefall · 61-69, M
@pezzza: Sure. I'm just interested in getting to 2018/2020 with a minimum of civil chaos and slaughter, at this point.

No. Partisan arguing aside, the guilt lies with the man who thought that it was somehow justified to achieve his goals by murder.
