Why don't you run and get in?

All the people that complain about politics should run to in into office. I guarantee not a darn one of them would want to change anything if the shoe was on other foot

Complaining is what we're supposed to do in democratic or near-democratic governments. It voices our grievances and preferences to our representatives. And while it's true that the system is somewhat intractable by nature, that doesn't mean people shouldn't speak up.

Correct but do the people that are complaining do it to their elected officials or just social media?
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
@Doctrble: I don't know. I've never seen an elected official's mailbox or answering machine.

@Xuan12: that's the point. I know many elected officials they said the hardly ever get mail or emails or calls but when on social media they see it all so my point is if everyone that complained about them would send a letter it would be better than just complaining here.

Totally agree 100%. It's not the individual that corrupts the system, rather it is the system that corrupts the individual. Bullying starts at the highest government levels and trickles downhill, it's a snowball effect and it happens everywhere. It's all about money!

So we should all just shut up and let our leaders do as they please, dictatorship style?
MarineBob · 56-60, M
no vote them out of office

@MarineBob: Its good to talk and have informed opinions. Politics is something you should participate in rather than being something which is just done to you.

EXACTLY
