Did The President Mix Up Libya & Syria?

At the G-7, President Biden was talking to the press, and he mentioned a couple of areas the US and Russia could be working together, Syria and Libya. Or did he mean to say Syria only, and said Libya as well by mistake.

Russia supports, arms and supplies "contractors" to the President of Syria, and in Libya is supports (in the same manner), the separatist opposition party.

There was no confirmation from the White House, and I saw a report in the fringe Trump media, that the National Security Advisor or the Chief of Staff confirmed it was a gaffe, but I can't see that confirmation anywhere else, including FauxNews.

The WH said he meant to say "Syria" instead of "Libya." And I think his other comments about Putin make it pretty clear that we're not on the same team.
Love that the wingers are going after slips of the tongue though. Given Trump's stellar track record and all.

@Northwest One thing I truly believe about Biden is that he has a moral compass. He's a big boy politician for sure, and understands the game, but I don't see him ever purposefully putting innocent people at risk. I do see him working to reduce or eliminate risks. And sometimes that requires strategy. But I don't think he trusts Putin as far as he can spit.

@Ynotisay Agreed. The Trumpists, however, are losing their shit over inconsequential gaffes.

@Northwest That's all they have. Obama wore a beige suit. Last thing they want is their base benefiting from his actions and realizing he's the one behind it.
