Cowards. The kind of "patriots" who wet their pants when the authorities came looking for them. The kind of patriots who are so proud and true they can only act and anonymous groups and then claim complete immunity when caught.
At least as far as getting kicked off of social media, I guess it depends on what you mean by good.

Private companies weighing in on what's good for humanity, or patriotic, etc, makes me nervous, but on the other hand, their long term profits are at stake and are threatened by Trumpism.

It's one of those really odd instances where businesses can even actually see and welcome competition and even antitrust type legislation which restricts their own profits and how they can run their own business.

Take Fox//Newscorp as an example. Murdoch allows and encourages the expression of viewpoints, ideologies and policies that threaten to destroy viewers and the human race as a whole, and makes a lot of money by doing it.

But the last thing the so called Conservative media (or the liberal media) wants is to have the opposing points of view actually silenced completely and to find themselves in bed with a wholly self interested autocrat with no allies if he turns on them.

I don't see as much nuance with doubling down on lies, though.

The stink of their incessant lying is calling attention to them.
Absolutely. Former Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had it right on the evening of Jan 6:
"They tried to disrupt our democracy. They failed. They failed to obstruct this Congress. This failed insurrection only underscores how crucial the task before us is for our republic."

"Failed Insurrection" says it all.
