Over Twenty States Are Now Suing The Biden Administration Over The Closure Of The Keystone XL Pipeline

It’s still hard to believe that as one of his first acts as president, Joe Biden shut down the Keystone XL Pipeline, killing thousands of good American jobs in the process.

Just think of all the American families whose lives came to a halt instantly, wondering how they would pay for their homes, cars and education for their children.

States started suing almost immediately and some new states have joined the effort, bringing the total to over twenty.

“The Constitution is clear that presidents do not have the power to regulate foreign and interstate commerce or to unilaterally undo an act of Congress,” said Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen, announcing that Alaska and Florida are joining the legal fight.

In the statement, Knudsen said U.S. consumers would benefit the most by the construction of the pipeline — and are subsequently hurt the most by its cancellation.

“The fallout from the Colonial pipeline cyberattack made it very clear that we need more energy infrastructure, not less. The Keystone XL would get more oil, including Montana oil, to American refineries to be sold to American consumers,” he said.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody and Alaska Attorney General Treg Taylor were added to a complaint filed with the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas on Thursday, bringing the total number of states in the lawsuit to 23.

At the same time that this is happening, remember that Biden had no problem with Russia having an oil pipeline.

Biden - what a dick head.

The saddest part about the Biden admin's rationalization about it was that only 1,100 people were going to lose their jobs and they could get work in the wind and solar areas making more money.
Texas showed how reliable wind and solar is when they had that freeze.
Also, Joe, it was way more than 1,100 jobs. It was closer to 10,400. Apparently the Biden Admin's don't think seasonal workers are full time even tho they were making $70,000 working on that pipe line when weather permitted.

Texas power fell apart because they hadn’t hardened the equipment against bad weather like the scientists had been telling them they needed to for the past ten years or so

@AbbySvenz have you see the work they are doing on generators without props?

Wind power works just fine up North. Where the turbines are hardened against cold weather 🤔@Pretzel

@AbbySvenz I'm not really conversant in power generation - but yeah, there was a massive breakdown in TX - and since the power grid pricing isn't regulated people got huge bills - sometimes the free market is a little inconvenient

@Pretzel Man I am telling you. One guy got a bill for something like $30,000. I would puke for a week. LOL
They are rushing the whole electric car thing and the wind and solar. It needs to prove it's self reliable for a while in many different conditions.

@AbbySvenz They have had issues with them freezing up forever. The blades get froze and they won't spin. They try to go out and deice them with some chemical and steam but it doesn't work long. You can do that to an airplane because when it gets in the air flying it's fine.

@Pretzel Yeah the spinny twisty things??? I watched a video on them and those are very cool. Some race car owner is involved in it but I can't remember which one.
