The stink of desperation is strong. I even have some random Brittish Trump cultist trying to convince me of the latest OAN conspiracy of the week in

my inbox.

on behalf of the non-trumpy british I apologise that people like him exist 😅 and aren’t satisfied with just wrecking our country
@adorbz I guess Boris isn't clown enough for them.
@adorbz You wrecked your own economy or are in the process now. You wanted BREXIT you got it. Was it worth it - just to keep the UK white ?
adorbz · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch i really really didn’t want brexit 😆 that’s what I meant by the trumpys ruining us
@MarmeeMarch The irony of that coming from a Trumpist like you is painful. How's that wall of incompetence going?
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow The wall isn't complete yet - when we are done with that we are going to do one on our northern border - we will all chip in and pay for that one !!! You're welcome
@MarmeeMarch 🤦‍♂️ The fact you don't see the irony is just sad.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow TBF Marmee is joking. He is also right about Brexit.
@adorbz Don't blame us for your decisions - that's on you !
adorbz · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch you won’t find a british trump supporter who doesn’t also support brexit 😅 but no it’s not really americas fault
@adorbz I dont even know what a british trump supporter is -
@MarmeeMarch A fool.
adorbz · 26-30, F
@MarmeeMarch we get all your news over here way more than you get ours, stuff that happens in american politics has an indirect effect here especially when there’s people like Farage doing both. There are trump fanboys in britain who’ve just seen too much rightwing american news
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I support the Queen and all of the double talk about her private purse and Crown Estate and how she gets her funds. I understand how the boobs in England are willing to pay for formality and fancy everything than to help the needy on a bigger scale.

@adorbz
you won’t find a british trump supporter who doesn’t also support brexit
Definitely. Not all Brexiteers like Trump but all British Trumpsters will have voted for Brexit.
@MarmeeMarch It is not double talk it is understanding the subject matter which you proved you don't in that discussion too.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Where it goes to and what it does is really of no consequence to me - my concern is that the English are being taxed double than we are on the median scale. That is money that they are not keeping. They are paying for a custom and tradition which is very outdated - and while I dont mind it - I worry about the ave working stiff not being able to make ends meet - when you have so much lavish spending and renovating and decorating - The show is over England -
@MarmeeMarch Lol. Because to a right winger tax breaks are magical solutions for everything.

Your claims about the "paying for the Monarchy" shows you have no understanding of the situation and just assume based on stereotypes.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow ITS NOT NEEDED ANYMORE - the Queen really does not do anything - you say she is Head of State OK - but that really doesn't mean much. She is a figure head that has been around for centuries - She makes a nice Christmas broadcast though.
@MarmeeMarch Again a statement made out of complete ignorance.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow It's not ignorance. I mean, he isn't completely right but he isn't wrong either and his views are actually in line with most British people.

The Queen is mostly a formal and ceremonial figure. By convention, the Queen's Speech on policy is what Parliament mandates, and the Monarch has not gone against it for hundreds of years. This is by a convention that is long and established.

However, if there ever was a crisis for the British Ruling Class (a socialist revolution, just suppose) then it's unclear whether this convention would stand. So the monarch could go against Parliament hypothetically but never has and could not do so without creating a constitutional crisis.

I am against the monarchy as rule but I don't think this is a primary concern. There are other and much more fundamental parts of ruling class power within the British state.
@Burnley123 Ceremonial or not a Head of State serves a function and can't just be removed with no alternative. In Canada you get similar talk about the GG but nobody has a plan besides "get ride of them because empire and stuff." It also doesn't address that the royal family are by far the largest land owners in the UK and the British government makes a mint off of said land. If they were to be made common citizens that agreement would be voided creating a much much bigger and much more expensive problem blasting a massive hole in the revenues of the British Government.
adorbz · 26-30, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow not if the change gave most of that land to the government
@adorbz Seizure of private property in a capitalist country? Sure, that would go over well.
