US triggers formal process to withdraw from WHO, ceding global authority for any nations seeking a coordinated international response

Whatever the flaws of the WHO, this is a crazy move to do in the middle of a pandemic.

Its all about Trump's re-election campaign. Shift blame and play the culture war blaming an oversea conspiracy.

@Burnley123 The good news, is that processing the paperwork manes we're not officially withdrawn, until July 2021. So, this is largely symbolic at this point, and 100% a political move, allowing Trump to up the Kung Flu rhetoric. At this point, I believe his team came to the conclusion that a Hail Mary appeal to red neck electoral votes, is his only shot at winning come November. MAGA.
Trump is a jackass

@ExperienceDLT i hope you know you have insulted the entire donkey population, donkeys are loving hard working creatures, even shit benefits pants. Trump is bad at all levels... except his response to iran, i like that.
@Sadwithasmile you are right my apologies to any donkeys I offended even a barn animal doesn't deserve to be labeled on Trumps level

@MrBrownstone agree to hell with the WHO. I do like the band though. But not this WHO, the other WHO.

The only thing that is keeping any semblance of global community together is the thought/hope/wish that he's gone in January. The damage he's done to our global relationships is mind blowing.

WHO created the pandemic with fraudulent data. It's leader Tedros is connected to Islamic terrorism and is a china puppet.

It's America alone, which is great for people who are afraid of others and not really worried about the future of the species.
I think a more global and equitable approach to global efforts is a good thing so the US not calling the shots is not a problem by default particularly now but this is pathetic blame shifting.

Unless somebody else comes up with a cure. Trump will definitely want his hands on that
Sadwithasmile · 22-25, M
I don’t understand.
plungesponge · 41-45, M
The Trump administration has decided that they don't want to cooperate with any other countries to fight the pandemic
Sadwithasmile · 22-25, M
@plungesponge im sorry to say this but they didn’t give much into the responses to corona so the global effort hasn’t seen much affect.
