Power on the level of the emperors new clothes

After spending the evening telling Sean Hannity that those greedy governors—especially pushy female governors—didn’t really need the ventilators they were desperately requesting, Donald Trump demanded—demanded—that GM get right on with making ventilators, apparently for free. Only Trump addressed that demand to a Twitter account that wasn’t GM. And he ordered them to use a factory that they sold months ago.

Trump brought in some WW2 act for wartime allocation of manufacturing a couple of hours AFTER GM announced they were doing it.

@whowasthatmaskedman That's correct. He's so desperate to make his eminent powers known, he demanded something that was already planned and agreed to.

Perhaps the Michigan Governor should start looking at options within it's eminent domain laws. After all those GM plants are conveniently on her terf.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow 'Eminent' domain laws have nothing to do with this.

A closed plant has nothing to do with the governor.

Neither does Trump's stupidity.
@Graylight I never said it had anything to do with a closed plant. But when the WH is actively preventing them from receiving supplies they need the state government may have to get creative.
Playing politics with the lives of his countrymen. I really hope people remember this in November—those who are still living.
