The El Paso situation is horrible and tragic, but I don't see any benefit for El Paso that would be gained by a Trump appearance. I'm afraid he would stand in front of the crime scene and talk about himself. Again.

Let O'Rourke compose himself and handle his own state. I'd like to see how he handles a National crisis.
Sink or swim time.

He has to go , both out of duty and to avoid being called a coward. But we've seen this movie before ; he's going to sit at the head of a table of police/first responders and shower them with insincere praise , allowing himself to bask in the reflected glory of their bravery. Then he will be seen shuttling around hospital corridors in apparent meaningful discussion with doctors and nurses , but his clumsy bedside manner will be hidden from view and those chosen to receive his visit will be unable to speak about it afterwards. Another empty gesture to add to the absolute charade that is his Presidency.

He should go to Toledo

He should stay away. He has been asked to and should oblige. To tell you the truth, nobody not directly involved with relief efforts should stay away. In Orlando, all we wanted was a few days of quiet to mourn as acommunity before all the chaos flooded in.

He probably should as the president...but, I think, whatever he does it won't be popular.

Perhaps, that's the way it goes being president

@SW-User Any other POTUS would make it a meaningful and comforting visit.

Donald lacks the basic human behavior skills to do this.
SW-User
@SmartKat Not a fan of Donald just saying as the President of the United States he should go.

And it won't be seen in a good light if he goes or if he doesn't.

Some people got upset whatever Obama did, I think it comes with the office you are going to be criticized.

I am not endorsing him...

If I lived in El Paso and that douchebag came, I might do something I’d get in trouble for.

What’s he going to do - throw rolls of paper towels?

He still owes them a shitload of money from the last PR stunt.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
He needs to stay away. I hope he will be met with protests. After his rhetoric, he doesn't belong anywhere near El Paso.

I think he should continue doing the right thing, it exposes just who is refusing to unite.

The right thing to do would be to go ,but it really won't matter because it's b.s
