In my opinion the president’s approval rating should be 100%

@katielass This is the problem right here, there is a general dislike from both sides that immediately disregard either side, not allowing for any real discourse. Are there those on the left that cannot think, yes, of course, as there are on the right. The issue is more that people are so entrenched in their "side" nobody is willing to listen to the other. The partisanship is the worst it has been, with no signs of improving, just more blind attacks on one another.

This is not to say you have to believe what I do, or vice versa, but there needs to be a middle ground, something where conversation can be had, and sadly with our "leaders" they do not seem to be able to do this, more they are of the mindset that you must play their way or they are taking their toys and going home. I am in full agreement with jackj here that we need term limits and accountability for all of these supposed lawmakers.

There is an amazing NPR piece about seasonal workers, apple pickers in particular.

Essentially if we send non-migrant workers to pick apples we are going to have unions, and the cost of the apple will go up tenfold. Just a small example
