The office of democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has deleted a supplemental document explaining how to implement her "Green New Deal" that called for a jobs guarantee even for those "unwilling to work" and the elimination of "farting cows" and airplanes.

Robert Hockett, a Cornell law professor and adviser to Ocasio-Cortez, appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News on Friday and claimed Republicans doctored official documents that came directly from the congresswoman's office.
They're trying to blame anyone else because they didn't expect their own side to laugh so hard at their absurdity.

I take it the railway will be going over oceans? Is that for real?

Honestly, this shit is like the movie Being There, which if you haven't seen it, is about a moron who gets misinterpreted as a genius.
My takeaway is that people are willing to believe and/or fabricate things about their hero.

Lest anyone get the wrong idea, I have exactly zero current political heroes, and let's just leave it at that.

@uncalled4 To really go larger, I think the cult of personality thing we're seeing these days is a function of technology and the effect of video media on the people.

Paper tabloids in the supermarket just never worked as well as 2 minute cable news spots and you tube videos.

@MistyCee Agreed. Snap judgments made on sound bites and out-of-context actualities. The public are not using their brains. It's an ADD, knee-jerk, outrage culture. It's tough to navigate.
