The US teams in that area, got a bit too comfortable. This was in front of a restaurant, that's normally packed with US servicemen. The town is supposedly ISIS free, but how can that be guaranteed?
The homicide bomber, blended in, because he did not have to wear bulky stuff, which helped him evade "detection". He did not have to, because a smaller charge, in the middle of a a bunch of soldiers (and civilians) at the restaurant, can be very deadly.
We need to bring our soldiers back, but we can't simply break it and leave it. I feel for the families and all the civilians, and especially the injured. We often forget the injured, but explosive devices, leave people with permanent damage and missing limbs.

I'm being a sarcastic prick here-but didn't Trump say ISIS was defeated? They're not defeated, they've laid low-then sadly this attack. Yes, get us the FUCK out of that shit hole country! Let Assad and the Russians have it, massacre all the anti Assad forces then deal with any and all insurgent forces. The Russians, ass holes they are will walk into another Afghanistan-but if they do, might not be able to extricate themselves as they did in Afghanistan.

@soar2newhighs You have that situation all wrong. Syria isn’t going to become another Afghanistan for the Russians, and certainly not due to ISIS.
