Short version is this. A very "Murica!" sort of person stated that citizenship was a privilege, not a right. In fact, it is a right, explicitly defined by the constitution. We argued about it, as we do many things. And they finally gave up! Because seriously, citizenship is defined as a right. It can't be taken away save for cases of treason, court marshal, or fraud.
