USA people, whats your economy like now?
How does it seem to you [i]personally[/i]. Do more deadbeat type people have jobs? Do you feel like you have more money in your pocket and more reasons to be optimistic?

@Mamapolo2016 oh you didn't like how I didn't like the term 'deadbeat' and I didn't reprimand, how does one do that here? U have no clue about my life and you are not speaking for the day-above-the-streets for me.

It's so hard for me to say. My personal career has always seen great growth. In Trump years, Obama years, and Clinton years. Same for my wife.
She has an advanced degree and I'm a computer guy. So... we've always have done just fine.
I will say... I've been on two vacations this summer in the USA and it has been quiet (few people). I don't know if that relates to the economy or consumer confidence but that is quite telling.

@SW-User sure, their problems could nebulous and intricate but having a good economy helps.

@DrBenway Yes, but finger painting, and recklessly saying 'deadbeats' is not healthy to me. And very much why I support the idea of an inclusive society

@SW-User using the word deadbeats had no intentional judgement attached. I've been unemployed for decades but now I'm working again. Was wondering if its the same for people like me in the USA

Well, people say it is good. I can't really see a difference where I am though. Wages are stagnant, and I see about the same measure of homeless and unemployed people as before. A few big businesses in my area did go bankrupt though. Some of them are consolidating under a single new owner. I guess it's the rich getting richer?

It’s weird. Full employment, but with stagnant wages. Everyone is working, but sort of poor.
I’m doing well, but then again I was doing well before, too. Local cost of living has been going up, but that is all local, nothing to do with trump.

@DrBenway It's hard to quantify from the street level, but there is more work, there are more jobs and the other signs of optimism like new construction. I wouldn't venture a guess as to how much better, but better.
I have a few friends who own businesses or work at the level where they know what's going on and sales are up and orders are up. Also, people are starting to do what they weren't for a while, changing jobs. That's a sign too.
If your question is, is it visible, my answer is a qualified but firm yes. Sustainable? We'll see.
