I like how when we have...

NFL players silently kneeling during the anthem, we hear "Fire them!"

But when Rosanne, who plugged her ears, screeched, grabbed her crotch, and spat on the ground when performing the national anthem gets in trouble for a racist tweet, we hear "Let's not overreact now..."

That's because the football thing is retarded... They're kneeling in protest over "America" the only country in the world where they can make the ridiculous amount of sums in money for playing the one sport the rest of the world pretty much doesn't care about yet that's what they're protesting.. They're basically telling everyone not to give them money.. Then they complain when no one wants to hire them for a contract??? Like tf???

If they hate American football so bad they need the coach to start making them run soccer drills on the field and make a career change instead of all their hypocritical bullshit...

@SerenitiesScars Baseball is becoming huge again? Omg...people must be seriously bored. But seriously, I think in specific it started as a complaint about racial inequality in the justice system. You're conflating any protest with a protest of the entire nation. By that logic, anyone protesting for any reason involving the state of affairs in America would be protesting the country itself. Like if you wanted to protest restrictions on firearm ownership in California...well that would be a protest against the nation. If we overgeneralize this, we're essentially saying that any protest unwarranted and unforgivable.

@Xuan12 No... It's the national anthem.. therefore you're protesting the nation itself... If you were doing a specific protest it would fit the protests placement... Protesting the national anthem means you're disrespecting the nation.. That's what they did... And it makes them look like idiots. And therefore no one likes them anymore... And you can't blame anyone for hearing whiny ass millionaires trying to make shit about themselves... People see it, get disgusted and that's the very nature of things.

@SerenitiesScars Okay, so if a person protests the President, are they protesting the nation itself? If someone protests bald eagles are they protesting the nation? If a person protests civil seizure or eminent domain, which is the LAW are they protesting the nation itself?
And now he wants Samantha Bee fired, ASAP ! He had plenty to say about her comment.

People were wondering why Trump didn't denounce Roseanne's actual tweet. That's simple; Trump doesn't address anything he doesn't consider important, and he doesn't consider racism important.

@bijouxbroussard Precisely. And the tirade against Samantha Bee came even though he, on at least 3 occasions since the 80's, has used the same word to describe three different women.

We are clearly in a season of "loudest voice wins."
Hmm... nothing personal, cause I'm not perfect myself, but at the moment, I'm more annoyed by people on both sides screaming about the other.

I feel a post about Bannon and culture wars coming on.

Apples n oranges? 🍏 🍊
@FloorGenAdm How ? She's being defended on the basis of the First Amendment---the same right that the NFL players were exercising.
She's fucked and rightfully so.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
She don't have a union protecting her fat ass like the Playas do
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
@MarineBob Maybe, is she not in the Screen Actors Guild?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Xuan12 Indeed. She has one of the strongest unions in the country behind her. But what she said was wrong.
