My entire family has served, and everyone one I know who has served and fought for the US has the same contention. That we fight and serve our nation so that people have the RIGHT to protest. We serve the nation, not its politicians or its presidents. But for the people, and if they feel like their nations leaders have failed and they are suffering for it. Maybe the answer isn't to look at or cast blame on the people trying to make their voice heard, but on those who have failed to represent them in the first place.

my dads words ( he served 9 years active 8 years gaurd, served in panama during the whole deal there)

"Fuck them, there is is a lot of racial injustice and you get these damn 4 effers like the president who pass laws and wrap themselves in the flag and have no clue. These people have the RIGHT to protest and just because all these rich and corrupt "Leaders" do something wrong then expect people to be happy about it, well fuck them, we fought so we can have rights like protesting something wrong"

For people who dont know what a 4 effer is, They are people who act all patriotic and pro military etc and then never serve and most dont let their kids serve especially during war. basically

I don't think it's a question of 'more patriotic' just different ways of BEING patriotic.
I just decided I'm a Jets fan, unless, of course, they're playing my Saints.
