Why do we keep broadcasting when we are going to attack Syria. Why can't we just be quiet and, if we attack at all, catch them by surprise?

All ouyr Presidents in my lifetime did that shit and it's stupid. Fact is we don't ever have enough reason to use military force so instead of saying nothing and bombing them into oblivion followed by an infantry going and rifle butting the rest as a clean up. They have to " talk about it" first publicly and then pussy foot over collateral damage and how to win hearts.

If you aren't willing to strike with no mercy then you probably don't have much justification to fight or put lives on the line.
