Which do you support

I support indviduals and do not give in to a us verse them mentality that has brought so much death, destruction, and hate on both sides.
Graylight · 51-55, F
I support the US staying out of the international affairs of other states. This is a conflict older, deadlier and more complex than many of us - politicians included - can understand. We have only political interests in the conflict, and in the absence of integrity to guide us, we can only obfuscate the matter more.

@Graylight

Unfortunately, Trump has never heard of any of those issues you have raised.

@swirlie He can't hear anything beyond the incessant buzzing of his own praise.
Palestine forever!!🌺
Israel. Palestine has refused 60+% of Israel's land on multiple occasions.
@Xuan12 no. After the world wars Israel was given the land by the world council. Palestine no longer had anything. So they started fighting Israel. Israel then gave Palestine Gaza which Palestine then started using as a missile launching site to attack Israel. Israel offered land in several treaties and Palestine said no to every one of them. Palestine wants Israel to be nothing and will stop only when there is no Israel left.

@supercalifragilisticexpialidoc No...whoever is telling you this is wrong. Here's a map of what the territory was intended to look like after WWII.

Both nations were granted formerly British controlled territory. Both found it unsatisfactory, as neither one of these territories constitutes a feasible nation. After some fighting, Israel had most of it. Jordan however annexed the West Bank. Later Jordan relinquished the territory, but neither has Israel formally claimed it either. Most recognize the West Bank therefore as Palestinian, and 90% of the people living there are Palestinian. At no time has Israel ever offered 60% of it's land to Palestine. They'd be crazy to do so.
@Xuan12 I'll look for my sources...I remember some of that brought up but there was a lot more
People are people. People deserve to live in comfort and safety surrounded by their loved ones with dignity and respect. I am pro Israel, but in these situations, blood can stain any hands. I think those who call themselves 'Palestinians' should become Israelis. I believe in a one state solution wherein Israel would simply annex the area known as Palestine. Religious and political passion makes this impossible, but I am biased towards Judaism and prejudiced towards Islam, so that would be my answer.

@puck61 While I agree that it would be ideal for both peoples to live in one nation equally, the laws of Israel make that impossible. Many of them rely on the distinction between an Israeli and a Palestinian. Heck, in '03 they passed a law forbidding persons residing in Judea, Samara, (West Bank) and the Gaza Strip from acquiring Israeli Citizenship, even if they otherwise legally qualify for it. Neither may they obtain licenses to reside in Israel. They can't become Israelis, even if they want to and would otherwise qualify.

I support people, not states...
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
No hope for either at this point. Abolish it all, rename the whole thing Canaan, and start over with complete separation of church and state.
CanadianGentleman1976 · 46-50, M
Neither. I still don't understand America's obsession over those two.

This is a good post. I’m learning some things here. I’m glad I came across this.
