The good thing about birds is that they can regrow their feathers if you catch one & all their tail feathers come out....

Poor Ike....had him in the bird net and got him in my hand & he started squirming away. I was left with a handful of tail feathers....

My big old mean dog is terrified of turkey feathers. If I take one down, he will back away until he can’t move any further. Any ideas as to why?

@CereBellum He knows what turkeys are capable of doing. If he is an outdoor dog he may have had an encounter. I had an encounter with a domestic turkey when I was a little over 2 years old and it wasn’t fun. Had me down in the dirt flogging me.

@cherokeepatti Seriously? We have tons of wild turkey roaming all over where we live. When he sees one, he really doesn’t pay much attention. It’s something about just one big feather. Too funny.
