Have you ever been astonished at how good some pets are with kids?

Just had one of those moments with Maverick. Him and Volos tolerate kids really well in general but my little niece just came stomping through and stepped right on his tail. He didn't hiss, scratch or bite, just hastily moved away and then laid back down. When I [i]leaned[/i] on his tail in the past he gave me a fairly firm bite(nowhere near hard enough to break skin, just a pinch) to let me know he was there. I was thinking he might swipe her but he seemed to care precious little, lol.

The dog in my picture Gaz is AMAZING with kids. He immediately enters nanny mode and is super gentle - particularly with toddlers and babies. WHen it's with eight year olds he just sends the poor kids sprawling by turning around quickly, lol. Hilarious.

My dog looooved kids. They'd tried to carry her around but couldn't fully pick her up, so they'd end up just dragging her. She loved every ounce of attention 😄

My cat was very gentle and patient with children. It was one of the ways in which she was so awesome.

@bijouxbroussard Always nice, Ollie just vanishes when there are children. XD The kittens actually hang around them.

We had to put my 12 yr old husky X down in January. He watched over my 7yr since birth. She climbed on him as a toddler and he just loved her so much.
