If you wanted a new pet, whould you seek a shelter?

I have in the passed taken in sheltered pets. There is nothing like a pet to let you know the meaning of being loved. I have a friend that wants badly a mini pin. I don't have the funds to get him a full bred 'Papered-Puppy'. And have thoughts on looking at the Dog Pound. How would this make you feel to be surprised with a PET of your dreams? It is quite likely I will be doing most the care... feeding, walking, bathing ect.

All opinions matter!

[c=#003BB2]as a general rule, I don't gift animals. But if you're willing to take on the responsibility, then by all means go adopt one. [/c]

@NotYourPepper @NotYourPepper Thanx, I also need to keep in mind that as we are "close" yet hopefully I want to get him outside and walking." He seriously needs exercise.

I wouldn't seek a shelter pet, I'd hit up Petfinder - there are a lot of rescues who go straight to foster instead of a shelter that come from the Reservations around the state. Best dog I've ever had came from a Rez.

There's nothing like a dog "that chooses you, instead of you choosing it". Got a stray once that was the best animal I EVER had.
