Is a child's character instilled or genetic?

SW-User
Based in my own experience, I think it's a bit of both.
I grew up without a dad, but was surprised at how many characteristics we share when I met him last year. Such as my sense of humor and love of numbers, which I clearly didn't get from my mom.

Both. Genetics have to do with predispositions and tendencies. Instilled for the finer more detailed parts of their character.

Ah the age old question of Nature v Nurture. I'd say both.
