Would you find it difficult to want to converse with...

...the mate of a family member that you DON'T like , while at family function?

I feel sorry for the girl since she just sits there. I think " maybe i should go talk to her" but i can't stand my cousin. He acts like he's better than me, and makes rude comments towards me when no one is around.

I feel like if i start talking to her, he'll come over and say rude crap, which I'm sure would lead to an argument. I can't stand him.

I bet he makes his mate feel the same way he makes you feel, or at least to a certain degree. So go talk to them, maybe they need it more than you think.

@Dan193 no. But i only see him once or twice a year. Thanksgiving and sometimes christmas. Though im not going over the familys'..

@iamnikki Idk what to advise you. You could either tell him that u really hate him for the way he treats you, but u wish that someday he'll come around, because you're family. Or just keep doing what you're doing, 2 days a year it's not that much, but the anticipation that you'll have to see him, still sucks.
