How much is daycare on avg for an infant

@SW-User if my math isn't too far out (and it could be), $50/week would roughly translate to around $1/hour [a typical work week is 40 hours, daycare has to start earlier and end later so people can work]. even 120ish a week is only in a $3/hr range.

@SW-User oh my friend keeps this kid all hrs. She had him at church Sunday afternoon when we were making food for the evacuee staying at a nearby church.

@Mountainlady16 that was with 2 kids in a small home-run daycare. She only took had 6 kids I think. Daycare here (Canada) is a joke for the most part.

@Salix75 oh OK yeah I'd think private daycare or 1 on 1 babysitter cost more. And this is more like 2 on 1 babysitting because her daughter helps her.

@Salix75 I babysit and I know I charge 20 a day for an infant but I have a toddler and a baby on the way so I try to babysit older kids not babies

@RedKat we called the daycare's locally and least we got was 125.

@RedKat I know 50 is how much I make a week keeping a 12 year old after school. And he's pretty self sufficient only reason I watch him is laws.
