I Am Confused About My Relationship

I feel like she is scared of her friend that is currently in the army. So the guy gave her a promise wring to marry her. she didn't agree to anything but she took it cause like i said i think she fears him. And she said to me trying to deal with him when he comes back he is going to hit her....

So it isn't s person she can just push away. not a situation she can walk away from. what should I tell her? how can i help :/
