I Wish I Had More Close Friends
Why does it seem friends can be made when one is younger and harder as one increases in age? Is it stubbornness, idealism, or something else? Appears to happen everywhere

As ppl get older, they get more hurts & betrayals, making it harder to trust: and they get enmeshed in the details of their own life, making it harder to see and reach outside their own little circles.

Young people are more open, yes. They also pick up a new language easier.
