I Watched A Powerful Documentary

So I watched one on Andre Rand tonight. This man killed multiple special needs children. However he worked at one of the worst mental schools in the states at the time. He stated that it was horrible for the attendants too. Is it just me or should this man received help. Rather than life sentences at a prison where he won't get that help. They showed him a Visio of the conditions of the facility and he couldn't handle it to the point where his eyes rolled back and he began to drool.... he wanted to get kids away from the possibility of that happening to them. Yes he still is a murderer but he needed help not a prison sentence. Thoughts?
