What do you think of Chris De Burgh's song "The Lady In Red"?

I love that song ! My husband and I met at a dance club . I was there with friends who had to drag me out . I was in a borrowed dress ( red) and then he came up to our table . He knew several of my friends and then introduced himself to me . He looked me in the eye , and asked me to dance . We were both surprised the other could dance ... and then that song came on . He sang it to me as we danced ( ball room style) , never taking his eyes away from mine . It was amazing for me ... I had never felt that way before! I still have the dress ! 😊

It reminds me of my junior prom when I took a girl to the dance and she had a red dress and they played it. It was a nice moment.

It's all right. I wouldn't go mad over it. I much prefer all the songs on his "Spanish Train" album. That's the only Chris De Burgh album I've got.

Trite, cheesy, saccharin-sweet garbage. And that's coming from someone who saw him twice in concert in the 80s and had the job of photographing him twice for PR and publicity shots. Nice chap. Rubbish song. Just my opinion!!
