I Feel So Alone

This is ironic for me because I dont like to socialize. Or go out in public. I like my alonetime and I like my space but sometimes even if I am with a friend I still feel lonely. I dont want a relationship but the friends I have i just can't seem to get close enough to to feel not so alone.

It's a little contradictory, sure, but as an anti-social person, I may have similar habits. I normally don't surround myself with a bunch of people, just a friend or two. And while I FEEL like I'm close to them (I even insist upon it), I know there's a personal roadblock on my part that really keeps me from opening up to them. I'm basically isolating myself without actually isolating myself....

I've tried opening up to people before. And whether the relationship was romantic or platonic didn't matter because it never ended well.

I like telling myself that it gets better, so I'll tell you the same thing. I do wholeheartedly believe it. It's putting it into practice that's the issue.

@Sohryuden I do agree with that statement. I tell myself the same thing, or try to anyway. But definitely easier said than done

Alonetime is necessary for me too. With some friends I just dont feel comfortable sharing enough.
