That's a very sensitive issue for me and have tortured myself many times thinking about it. On one hand I'm opposed to war completely because the ordinary people are always the ones to lose something, while the powerful ones will not be harmed at all. But on the other hand, when you have soldiers one step away from your home, isn't it kinda instinctive to do whatever's in your power to protect it?
I think I'd just become a paramedic, I'd feel at peace with myself like that.

This would be my only argument too(age), at the moment my knees have had it (hoping they'll get better) but I believe in my country for all it's faults and wouldn't want to be ruled by any other government I can think of.

I would certainly want to volunteer... I’m a great shot . I’m sure my PTSD would raise a few red flags ... but in a kill or be killed situation ... I would kill .

@GeniUs I’m not sure people understand what that is . It’s a bit more than having the shit scared out of you or seeing something appalling . Since mine was caused by repeated beatings , abuse, and injury up to the age of 11 , culminating in rape ... uncontrollable rage is the Bi product . Which in this scenario would be perfect . I’m sure in battle the devastation to human life , namely family and friends , is always horrible and would affect everyone. My adoptive father was a Marine . He was a huge help with teaching me to cope with ptsd .., but he was also good at explaining just what battle was. Enough to know those who have that experience deserve their fair share of honor and respect from the rest of us .
