I would call it, 'tactical negotiation'. "Speak softly and carry a big stick". Conventional war would be unspeakable, and nuclear war is out of the question. We have to get Jinping to save the world.
Trump really needs to take Kim to Vegas and show him a good time! North Korea needs to see that they need to loosen up a little bit! People are people and we need to start seeing each other as people and not 'systems of government'. Every time we have a beef with someone, we don't see 'people' anymore. We see politics and ideologies. That kind of sucks.
On the other hand, I'm fatalist about a lot of these things. War has it's advantages. What's a few million broken hearts and wasted lives when it comes to economic expedience and population control?
