I Appreciate the Simple Things In Life
"They're replacing the flooring on the first floor."
That was the answer I got yesterday when I stopped one of the men who come by to make changes or repairs. More power to them - but for four days now, beginning midweek, they sounded like they were coming through my kitchen ceiling with some sort of machine. It was so loud it drowned out my television and heater sounds - and gave me a raving headache as well as a long, tremendous crack in the ceiling. This is why I stopped the man on his way in and told him. He replied,"I'm sorry. I'll have to talk to Linda (she's the office manager) and tell her. She takes care of everything.'
Nobody came to the door - so when they quit for the day, I checked my ceiling. They must have done something from the top up, because there was an indication SOMETHING was put into the crack - I hope it holds. I further hope they are THROUGH with it.
Okay - he lives up there, I hope he's paying for it. I NEVER had MINE adjusted.
But if he had this done, I need to win the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes and get my walk-in-tub. I'll pay for it, but I WANT IT. I'll keep the floor, but I want a hot tub for comfort.
