I have hyperacusis but it gotten better.

My family didn't care I was sent to the psych ward and I can't stand psych wards I feel spiritual clausethrophic ? So I was sent to the psych ward and I tried to leave like the fourth day but they kept me, I hate psych wards some much that I decided to sleep day and night until my sleepy schedule got messed up, when I got out I couldn't sleep and I was struggling with sleep at home something was keeping me up at home but not at the psych ward. I told the psychiatrist hey I have hyperacusis instead they I was schizophrenic that I had mood swings. Why will someone lie about ear pain causes by noise. My hyperacusis was bad for 4 months brother moved end and there was to much noise. I told my family keep low to see if my ear repair themeselves instead I got more in debt with psych wards.

When you look at your family and how they treat others in your family, are they decent? A decent family isn’t going to put a person in a psych ward if they are “normal”. A decent family will look beyond themselves for expert treatment.

Try visiting a doctor who treats hyperacusis. Let him be the one who diagnosis you. Otherwise, you need to be open to other treatment options. Sometimes we need to trust our parents see what we don’t. If in general your family is trustworthy and kind, consider their help is sincere.
The good news is that your hyperacusia is better. Bills: we all have them. Pay whatever you can afford even if it’s only $5. A month.
