My best friend and I were working on a project together for school and she criticized my drawings. She asked to see my drawing. I told her no and she reached for it and looked at it. I tried to make paisleys which I did my best on. She was like, “Layla (me) what is this? This is pathetic! Extremely pathetic! Nobody is going to be interested in our project with this crappy drawing. This is junk!”
I was shocked when she said that. I was hurt and said, “B..but I did my best.” And she shot back and said, “It isn’t good enough! You didn’t wanna show me because you can’t handle criticism. Try it again.”
I said, “Well you didn’t have to be rude.”
Then she said, “Well I’m being honest. It’s called constructive criticism. You gotta learn to take harsh criticism.”
Do you think she was mean or honest? This was last year. My best friend can be rude sometimes.
Sometimes you have to accept things the way they are. You're lucky to have a beat that you can hang with and everything! I never had that experience.

@DaveStevenson I am but she really hurt my feelings when she said my drawing was pathetic. I did my best. She said it wasn’t good enough and it’s junk.
