Most people now are looking for alternative routes to the job they want, can you do the same? You're an adult now this decision should be the beginning of your independence which should be fun...
Noone can tell you what to do as your an individual...

If your parents can afford it and don't as long as you're working hard maybe that will buy you some time...

Nothing is guaranteed anymore...
