Are Aries and Gemini girls good to be friends?

My friend is a Gemini and I’m an Aries, and I’m wondering, are our star signs good through this friendship? I mean, there are a few times where my friend doesn’t want to go out, and she even says to me, “let’s only hang out for 2 hours, because I’ll get sick and tired of you”, now I can tell she’s messing around, but honestly, I think she can’t read and understand that that was a little over the top and hurtful, seeing that she doesn’t have many friends.
She even says some things that make me feel like she wants me to feel bad so she can feel better. Some of the things she says and does, irritates me, and I’ll be honest, I can be annoying sometimes, but it may just be our personalities clashing. She states that there are things that I say that annoy her, when she realises that it’s the same for me, where she says things that grinds my gears to an extent.
Please help.....
Are we fine as friends, or do we need to be careful?
