What would you do if your roomate stole your car for hours at night while you were asleep.

Old friend was homeless so i let her and her boyfriend stay here. I wake up a 2am cant find my phone and my cars gone. I told them when they got back to pack there shit and they tried to go to bed. People textin me tellin me they were tryin to sell my phone and a whole bunch of sim cards. So i went in there and yanked the curtain down and they were makin out. I flipped the light on and told them to start packin shit or i was for them. And now they sayin they can call the law for touching their stuff. But they havent signed or payef nothin.

It can depend upon a few factors, such as the state/city and how long they have been residing there. If they stayed for a few days, they are guests, and you can inform them to leave at your discretion. Once they have established residency, it can be a bit more difficult to evict them, even if they have not paid anything.

You do have a bargaining chip, however, because they stole your car. Tell them that if they do not leave, you will call the police and have them arrested for the theft of your vehicle, and once they're in jail, their stuff will not be warehoused, and will be put on the curb at the first legal opportunity to do so. Cut ties with these people, and get them out of your house.

@CreateTVT I am sorry to hear that. What a nightmare! Lock up everything, and serve them with an eviction ASAP.
Call the police and find out if they can be removed. If there was no rental agreement, then have them removed. Once a user always a user of other people.
Tell him go ahead call the law I'm sure you've got quite a few crimes on your person now get the fuck out of my house.
If you are physically capable of it I would suggest you grab Boyfriend by his shirt and throw him physically down the stairs and tell the crazy drug addict bitch that she and her boyfriend are never welcome in your house again and the next time you see them you're going to call the police

Unfortunately in America there's a thing called squatter's rights. I'm pretty sure most other Progressive countries have them too. Why did you let them stay with you? People aren't homeless for no reason at all. If they were hitting you up for a place to crash it means they burned their family Bridges already.

File a police report on them for taking your car without your permission.

If you're in the US, google squatters rights for your state. There are differences from one state to the next. But at least in my state, if you were allowing them as guests and they were paying no rent, they have no squatters rights.

Unfortunately there is a thing called squatters rights. You will have to have them evicted.File charges about the phone and car.Keep your stuff hidden from now on.

No good deed goes unpunished.

They're full of it. Give em some hours to hit the bricks before you call on em for trespassing. Stand your ground.

@Kingfish4 And I"ve learned the harder way.
VioletShadows · 51-55, F
@Kingfish4 If you learned the hard way, then you learned from experience, and you then can't say you'd never do it.
