I was at a Wendy’s drive-thru and felt awkward cause the cashier started talking to his coworker and said..

“Hurry up, i just want to go home, this is the last car and I want to start cleaning before another car comes in”

Damn, I didn’t mean to inconvenience you with my presence

This had to be right next to closing time, so it was late I expect. See it from their perspective. It's late at night, they have been working a long shift, they are tired. It wasn't personal, they just want to go home.

I'd never want you to be inconvenient in my presence or yours.... People should connect and enjoy being together even in a Wendy's pickup window. You are a beautiful soul and should be treated as such.....😊🥰
Lol…. I can understand your feeling that way but it’s not about you, just the misery of working fast food.
@OlderSometimesWiser They accepted the rigors of the job when they accepted their employment there, complainers often don't last long.
I mean we all thought it in retail but wow..... 😂

@matthewjames I miss them but when I think to go there, they’re closed. They close so early
Dang. I would have sped off crying.
Being a former food service manager I would have reprimanded them on the spot, even if you were the last car you had every right to order and be served, there is no need to feel awkward.

@HumanEarth lmao I’ve definitely been there. I just feel bad that I didn’t check the closing time. Usually I do.

I truly believe and unhappy employee will make my food terribly out of spite so I try to be respectful of the hours and not be too bothersome. I had just woken up from a nap and thought it was still 9
