A universal basic income and universal housing would stop a lot of abuse, and it might prevent most American men from getting near a snatch ever in this lifetime. Without the precarious financial situation, they're out of a sex life.

@Manneeds really? I'm an elderly homeless woman who has violent and addicted family with a place I used to live, here in town. But before I go home I will seek some advice and counseling. I'm being realistic - capitalism, USA, making her do it, apple pie and Chevrolet are the other team, as far as I'm concerned.

But if I had to say, the people who failed to kill me at home might be safer to be around than the outside world, but my safety is not something people are willing to accept.
