The idea of a zombie apocalypse is pretty absurd when you really think about it

And not because zombies aren't real, duh. But if they were real, they wouldn't be real for terribly long. If we're talking the typical zombies who infect others by biting them, then any outbreak would be quelled immediately with an armed response. Sure a post-apocalyptic setting caused by zombies makes for good fiction, but short of civilization just letting the outbreak become a pandemic, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

True....but watch the original zombie film from '32: White Zombie starring Bela (Dracula) Lugosi.

Lugosi runs a sugar mill in Haiti using zombie labor....as he says: "They are not worried about long hours."

Well, four years ago there a virus and uhm... we did just shrug and let it spread until it became a major problem. 🥲

@NerdyPotato But that was something that's much easier to spread. If people could only catch covid from being bit by someone, I think we would've been okay, lol.
@Ducky that's an important difference indeed, but do you remember that people licked toilets and went to COVID parties to get deliberately infected? It's not too hard to imagine that some would tease the zombies to get bitten, call it just a scratch and visit a big festival after being bitten. I wouldn't write it off as zero risk outside movies. 😅

The thing about zombie apocalypse scenarios is the creators always seem to forget construction equipment exist. A T750 bobcat and any, any sized excavator together totally solves the problem.
