Diverse Challenges in the Workplace

Has anyone ever experienced diverse challenges whether it be race, culture, religious practices, nationality, age, interest/ hobbies? If so when it came to these diverse challenges have you ever felt like there is a lot of drama with people around you at work or even drama with you and someone else in the workplace and in order to protect yourself you just decide to not show up to work anymore? The money honestly wasn't of the importance but more so my mental health and happiness. All I have to say is if you are at a job and you literally don't feel right or safe.....just leave. It isn't worth bottling things in and when it gets to a certain point even if you talked it out to someone you trust you never know when people will have a tipping point if someone keeps poking the bear. So my advice will be just to leave. Because bail bonds aren't cheap and ranges based on lord knows what......because someone said that I should of punched her in the face and that isn't like me....

There's pretty strict laws here to prevent that,.. It still happens in a few cases but the employer pays heavily if caught

@Convivial You don't say.....? Well from what I was told the person I was working with have done this before to other people who have worked with her. One of them was still in the facility and they told me that the woman wasn't used to working with those outside her race. I didn't mind working with her though but someone who was of a certain age and walk with a tail between her legs where she basically used me as her voice or backup in order to feel like she can speak up more and be more verbally to people of my race but then want to treat me like (coughs) then want to go behind my back and report me to the boss various times like nah. I am out. Too many jobs don't have enough eyes and ears to be the witnesses and some turn a blind eye which is exactly why as they said jobs sure as heck make people disposable. When someone literally said that there might be a war between the rich and poor.....sad.

Work places have to remain inclusive and open. When they’re not, it’s a problem of management…

@Quimliqer Oh trust me it was inclusive and open enough to the point where I cleared it lol. When I clearly remembered that the woman said the male boss is easily to manipulate. So when I heard that and she wanted us to have a meeting with him I was like oh can we have a meeting with the female boss also. Bring them both along. But it was kind of the odds man. 3 women and one male 😬

@Quimliqer Right I only want the female boss there also because the woman I worked with had a issue with the female boss.....smdh.

We've got a very diverse workplace. It was not so diverse fifteen years ago and there were some problems back then, such as not taking women's opinions as seriously. But we've come a long way since then. I'm sure things still happen here and there, it's a big global company and humanity is so very not perfect. But I know we've had significant changes all up and down the executive team and local teams that really put a lot of effort there.
