Have game production companies incorporated subliminal advertising in their gameplay ?

Subtle ads or images that appear either in the centre of the screen or out of the corner of your eye as you play for the briefest of moments ?

This was first said to have been done in tv and movies back in the early 80's.

I would have thought that would have been the ideal marketing tool.

And you can bet just like Roku, etc. the terms of service will get changed to include forced arbitration, etc. in a clear example of what Louis Rossmann calls 'EULA roofying'.
