Do you celebrate your birthday?

If not, can we all wish each other happy birthday in the comment section!

Not really. We both have hardly any family so it never seems a big deal..

I am 66 next week Friday.

My wife always cooks me a leg of lamb, for my son, wife and myself

The oldest daughter will come down a week later as my 7 year granddaughter is going to a birthday party - I told her that is very important

My other daughter will come over on Sunday with her 3 boys

No I don't. I tried to keep it secret

Not until recently, and only because my friends and girlfriend won’t let it pass without a celebration.

I grew up living with just my dad. He was older and we lived hand-to-mouth for most of my childhood. My birthday was mostly an afterthought, remembered only days or weeks after the actual day. I never really minded, because it was what I knew. Now that I’m older, I just use it as an excuse to buy my self a really good bottle of bourbon.

No, not really

Found myself not wanting to celebrate it after the passing of my dad, but the last few years my loved ones made it hard not to be celebrated. Still taking a bit from me to let happen though.

Nah, it's never been a big deal in my family so I just never got in the habit.

I always feel guilty celebrating it for whatever reason.
Nanoose · 61-69, M
Yep and I always celebrate it with fireworks and a parade every July 1st. Cheers!
exexec · 61-69, C
No. It is near or actually on Thanksgiving Day, so we just celebrate Thanksgiving.

Sort of. I'll get myself a gift or have an adventure with my son.
Not anymore. What’s to celebrate?
