What’s Been Your Best Decision(s) In Life And What Have You Learnt From It/Them?
First Best is becoming a father again at age 48 after becoming a father originally in my early 30's, followed closely by never getting married to either my first (mum of my three adult kids) or second ('mum' of my 6 y/o) partners.
Third best decision is to change from working perm full-time to perm part-time with a fixed 4 off 6-on 4-off roster pattern every fortnight and dropping roughly 20 pct in income to make a better work-life balance for me and my 6 y/o.
Fourth best decision is buying a house by myself last year (I'm 55 now) after renting the same house for 5 years previous.
Fifth best is never smoking and never becoming dependent on alcohol or drugs as a coping mechanism for life.
Sixth best is refusing to get jabbed with Covid drugs or buying the mantra around the associated debacle of the Vid and embracing an open-minded approach to attacks on civil liberties.
Seventh best is my job in railways - shiftworker now for 34 years and in the industry for 37.
From there on it all starts to blend together with no real way to pick apart and rate things.
