Girls, out of curiosity, would you let a cousin massage your feet?

I was at a cousin's wedding last night, so of course a lot of my relatives were there. At one point, a male cousin of mine was rubbing a female cousin's feet. They're both good people and relatively close in age. Anyway, my wife was kind of off put by it and thought it was inappropriate. What are your thoughts?

I give my son a back massage all the time! He has epilepsy and injures his back quite often so I do what I can to bring him comfort. Even his sister and brother give him massages, he needs them.

My family’s Italian, so we’re not weird at all about displays of affection or even being nude around each other on the rare occasion it calls for it. I give my older sister back massages on her bare back sometimes. I only have one female cousin, but my sister and I have been naked with her when lounging in a hot tub together.

Anyway, what I’m getting at is so long as your two cousins were consenting to it and it wasn’t done with any sexual connotations in mind, who cares? My own spouse was uncomfortable with how nonchalant about PDA and nudity at first as well, but is used to it now. I’m sure yours will come around eventually.

@Ducky I honestly saw nothing wrong with it. It was a foot massage, it wasn't like they were having a make out session. They're also really close. They're only a year apart and went to school together. They basically grew up together!

@WizardofOz Then, there you go. Your wife will come around eventually if it’s not uncommon to see in your fam. Just because your family your may be different from the social norms of other families doesn’t make it weird or wrong. At the end of the day, a massage is just a massage and two relatives can be close.
