I learned it’s better to keep my mouth shut, unless it’s beneficial for me to say something. Giving people, who aren’t my close friends, too much information can backfire, easily. Recently, I learned a new saying, “familiarity breeds contempt.” Not only can people use what you say against you, they familiarize themselves with you and in time will find ways to diss you. Being quiet is better in most situations.
