Do you ever have days filled with contemplation?

This morning I got up early and went with Dora to the cathedral, for her very Catholic Mass. I like listening to it, but on getting home I decided to look at the history of the division we know as the Reformation, and being a Lutheran, I began to look again at the things my parents raised me to believe.

I am of the opinion one of the fundamental things missing from Christians likely everywhere, is the sense of humility. I know I wouldn't qualify in so many ways as a humble person, although I am not really ostentacious, or devoid of the finer feelings as Christians we should have. One of my favourite books to read in the Holy Bible is the Letter of James, which was supposedly a counter to some of the strange things being taught by Paul, and which puts succinctly what it is to be a Christian.

Errr, no.

Usually major contemplation occurs at night for me -- lying in bed, unable to sleep, my mind will wander all over the place, considering minor occurrences and major questions of reality both.
