how to handle the times when people don't validate or support you

everyone likes to get validated from others at times, it's human social thing...but what about the times when your points or argument is not supported or validated by others?

how should you respond to those times?

I can respect that other people have different opinions and viewpoints as long as they aren't nasty when they are conveying them
