I thought I'd check out what shows and movies are on Prime now, so I went to sign into my account that I'm fucking paying for but just because this is a new computer, I can't do it. Nevermind that the entire point of a password is to prove who you are....
They send a verification email which has a link I must follow to then enter a code that they sent to a phone number that I don't have anymore. The only other option is to contact customer service and actually speak to a person, probably after spending a long time on hold, if they were even open right now. I'm surprised a company like this doesn't outsource.
And what are they going to do anyway? Have me give them my card details, which could have been done over the internet, or other info that only I should have, even though stuff like that can still be obtained by others... unlike a password which can exist solely in your mind. I don't see why I actually have to talk to someone to prove who I am in this situation.
