What is it about people believing they have a moral high ground!?

If you consider yourself a Christian where in the Holy Bible does it say you have the right to judge others? Didn't Jesus say something like "judge not lest you be judged" as a basic truth that none of us can judge others, that's why we have legislatures that make laws for the judiciary to then use as a test measure by which a jury of peers use consensus to make a group judgement. Individuals must debate among peers to make a judgement.

It is our responsibility to accept what our actions might result in, and we are already burdened with enough guilt.

Very good points... although in some ways I think we all judge to a greater or lesser degree. Just as an extension of how we see and define other people in our own head.

I've always found the basic Christian philosophies as taught by the founder of the religion to be quite reasonable. Not all people seem to practice it as it was originally set down though!

There now i am judging lol!

Humans are very imperfect so kinda mess up everything we touch.

Judgment by Christians is a nuanced area and statements about what Jesus actually said about judging others are missused more often than not.
You quote: Judge not least you be judged"

Christ is warning believers against making judgments in a hypocritical or condemning manner.
Just a few verses later Jesus also says within the same sermon.
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
In other words beware of people quoting half bible verses to tell you that something is good when its clearly against scripture.

This was a call on Christians to judge or discern what is right and wrong within the religion. For example a big one today is wether or not homosexual marriage is allowed by scripture for example.

The point Jesus emphasizes here is to judge yourself first before you make judgments about others.
But many verses support that Christians have an obligation to decide what is right or wrong.
